Planning your switch to the NBN.

The National Broadband Network (NBN) is an Australia wide project to upgrade the existing fixed line phone and internet network infrastructure. This new network is run by the government-owned NBN Co and will enable access to fast, reliable and affordable phone and internet services, from a range of providers.

You can prepare to switch by following these steps:

  1. First check here to see when the NBN will be available in your area.
  2. Contact a NBN Service Provider to review packages available – Prior to selecting the provider, be sure to mention if you have a monitored home security system, fire panel or personal medical alarm.
  3. If you have an alarm panel you should request that the Service Provider provides a back-up battery for your NBN Network Termination Device (NTD). This ensures the alarm panel will still be able to communicate in the event of a power failure.
  4. When you are connected to the NBN, contact your monitoring company to ensure your system is communicating with the monitoring center.

To learn more about the NBN visit the NBN Co website here or the ACMA website here. For enquires relating to services provided by our company please call 1300 131 357.

Quality Essential Service & Maintenance

Last week we were especially delighted to receive a glowing testimonial from one of our essential service customers. It is always our intention to provide the best quality service and the below comment shows that we are delivering in the areas that are important and are of value.

For information about our essential service and maintenance please call us on 1300 131 357 for an obligation free discussion or assessment. Alternatively you can use the contact form here to send us a message.

“From all aspects of the business FS Solutions have provided a high quality service and a clear understanding of the assets throughout the contract, with a kind friendly manner. Recently I have optioned a clause within the contract further extending their contract period for an additional 2 years, this decision was based upon reasons such as a strong firm commitment to delivering services to the assets in a timely manner and value for money. Recently FS Solutions have begun factoring in security services and given the company already provides fire services this makes them even more versatile in today’s market. I have no reservation in recommending this well established company to any persons in the foreseeable future.”

ISIS Charity Golf Day

FS Solutions proudly sponsored the recent ISIS Charity Golf Day held at Canberra’s Gold Creek Golf Club on Thursday, May 1. The event raised funds and awareness for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, an organisation that provides services to thousands of people with Cerebral Palsy and their families across NSW and the ACT.

FS Solutions Managing Director Stephen McKenzie-McHarg commented, “The day was a brilliant success, raising much needed funds and creating awareness and insight into the lives of those who live with or are affected by this physical disability. We are all busy with our own day to day challenges and it’s nice to take the focus off ourselves for a moment and support the needs of others.”

Over $20,000 was raised for Cerebral Palsy Alliance. To find out more about Cerebral Palsy you can visit the Cerebral Palsy Alliance site here or call 1300 135 140.

Social Club | Queanbeyan SuperKarts

At FS Solutions we strive to foster a balanced working environment and with regular events our team is able to get to know their peers a little better in social environment.

Our most recent team event was held at Queanbeyan SuperKarts where the team took to the track for some friendly – but oh so very serious – Go Kart racing. Although the weather gods were not kind, the wet track made for some spectacular fun. Check out some of the action below…

Fire Safety Regulations

The outbreak of fire in any confined space can cause major destruction and without adequate fire protection systems the situation can quickly become catastrophic.

Fire protection is governed by the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards and Local Regulatory bodies, and traditionally it can be complicated to understand what is required and who is responsible. Having the correct systems is only part of the journey as  annual servicing and maintenance is required to ensure the continued safety of your assets and people.

By partnering with FS Solutions your systems will be efficiently maintained and you’ll be advised of legislation changes along with any compliance issues, leaving you to get on with the more important aspects of running your business.

If you would like more information on your obligations as a business owner, building owner or strata manager, please contact our helpful service team on 1300 131 357 or email us today.

It’s that time of year again and FS Solutions was delighted to host over 80 guests at their annual client Christmas catch-up. It has been said that when you’re onto a good thing, don’t change it, so once again the Little Brussels, Belgian Beer Cafe in Kingston played host to an enjoyable afternoon.

We would like to sincerely thank our guests for celebrating with us and as 2013 draws to a close we wish all our clients, suppliers and extended network a peaceful and happy festive season.
